Elegant and durable filter holder

The black porcelain #2-#4 filter holder is perfect for the amount of coffee I like to make. It looks great, works perfectly and is healthier and better for the environment than the plastic ones.

Part of my five stars I'm sure is related to the 100% improvement over what I had been using - but in my opinion, this is the perfectly designed pour over tool. The one i had been using did not have the internal ribs, which is the main reason this one works so well. It is quite a bit larger than I thought it would be, but that is no problem for me - the bottom ring fits nicely into the inside rim of all of my coffee mugs, so it feels very secure on top of my mug when i do my pour over (use it at least once/day). It is extremely well made, love the basic white color.

Excellent Pour Over

I started with a plastic pour over from Melitta, but wanted something a little nicer. People suggested the slightly larger opening meant less robust coffee, but I find that not to be the case. My coffee turns out full bodied and hot, just what you want from a brewer. The filters are a little pricey, but other than that I highly recommend the process for a single mug of coffee. Note the base is not as large (for some odd reason) as the plastic pour over, so I had buy a new 16 oz mug with a smaller diameter top.
